Seth P's Journey: From Skeptic to Spiritual Leader in Sobriety
I got spiritual conditioning by walking through this grief, and the only way that I did that was I dedicated myself to service for Two Whole Years during the grief and after, as in anticipating those folks dying, and afterwards, I was surrounded by aa folks, so often people that were of service, and they were showing me the way, and that was a key part of this, that giving back to the program was a key part of this, and learning about how to give back was a key part to this, because that provided me some spiritual conditioning.
Ever wondered how someone goes from resisting the idea of spirituality to dedicating their life to it? In this episode of 'Seasons of Sobriety', host Howard M. sits down with Seth P from Kingston, Ontario, who has been sober since April 12, 2010. Seth's story is a powerful testament to the transformative power of accountability and faith in the recovery journey.
He opens up about his initial reluctance towards the 12 steps and spirituality, only to later embrace them so fully that he became a pastor. Seth also shares how service work within the recovery program connected him with committed individuals who helped him stay on track. Grief and loss are inevitable parts of life, and Seth talks candidly about his experiences with these challenges, highlighting the abundance of support he found along the way.
For those seeking inspiration and practical advice on maintaining long-term sobriety, Seth's journey offers valuable insights and encouragement.
