Lindsay's Battle: From OCD and Addiction to Motherhood and Healing

I invite you in exactly and in like. Representation, I mean it's the whole reason I started this podcast. Yeah, yeah, to say that and hope that somebody else can be like addiction doesn't have a face.
What happens when the mind feels like a battleground? For Lindsay, her journey through the labyrinth of OCD, trauma, and addiction was nothing short of harrowing. In this episode of 'One Day I Decided', host Omanda Patricia sits down with Lindsay to unravel her story of resilience and recovery. From her childhood struggles with chronic OCD and perfectionism to the devastating impact of addiction and dual diagnosis, Lindsay's life has been a rollercoaster of challenges.
Becoming a new mother only intensified her struggles, forcing her to face her trauma head-on. Episodes of psychosis, postpartum depression, and suicide attempts led her through countless specialty treatments, mental hospitals, and even homeless shelters. Yet, Lindsay's story is not one of defeat. With unwavering courage, faith, and the support of community and AA, she found a way to reclaim her life.
Now, with her son back in her life and a commitment to sobriety, Lindsay shares her journey to inspire others. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience and the possibility of healing, no matter how dark the path may seem.
