It is possible. You just have to do the work a little at a time. I've been doing this work a long time, on and off. Got lost in addictions a little here and a little there. Got clean, went back, got clean, went back. Took some time off, but for the last six years, I have done nothing but work on myself, and I've missed out on a lot of good times and fun, but it was all bullshit because it would have been pretending anyway.
Joe Ryan is back after a break, bringing fresh insights and a positive outlook on recovery. In this episode, he opens up about his journey of self-care, focusing on how taking a step back helped him tackle deep-seated issues and find genuine happiness. Joe discusses the stages of recovery, from feeling the 'hangover' of old habits to embracing a new normal where self-worth doesn't need constant validation.
His candid reflections on eliminating shame and accepting past experiences are both moving and relatable. Joe's story is a beacon for anyone grappling with their own recovery, offering practical advice on building a life that feels true to oneself. This episode is a must-listen for those seeking inspiration and a renewed sense of hope on their path to healing.
