Transforming Through Turmoil: Reflections on Addiction and Recovery

I think I was just talking to my therapist about this too, about my friendships. Like he was like, oh, you want to go to a party, or you know, you just kind of got along with like people, because that's what you do when you're in your Early Twenties. Those groups of friends couldn't relate to, like the addiction part, but there've been other experiences, like one of my best friends had to break off an engagement with because of cheating and things like that, and so we could connect over, like the feelings of betrayal or like the things the way you thought your relationship was going was a lie, and so finding commonalities and that, even though it wasn't the same, it was the same story.
