It is clear, study after study, that if we return to the simpler things in life, not always relying on a substance or a thing in our outer world, such as devices, televisions or, I'm going to even go so far as to say, like a peloton, or something we have to buy to bring into our lives, if we return to the simplicity of what is right in front of us, sometimes right within us, when we turn inward, deconstructing the automatic relationship we have with ourselves when we are nice to ourselves. Not only will you feel better if you practice these tenets of self-compassion, but they last longer, actually having a deeper, more lasting impact on your day-to-day life, including your physical body.
