Anna's Path: Early Temptations to Lasting Sobriety

When you get sober, you get a chance and you get your dreams back and you get so much more.

Picture a young girl in South America, handed sips of alcohol at family gatherings. That was Anna's childhood. Even as a small child, she felt a pull towards drinking. By 13, she was buying her own bottles and getting drunk to entertain her friends. Her father, himself an alcoholic, saw the same tendencies in Anna and tried to intervene. High school was a battleground of fights with her parents, who desperately wanted to curb her drinking habits.

But Anna thought she could manage it all. She believed she had her drinking under control until it started to derail her dreams. Seeking a fresh start, she moved to New York. There, she found solace in spirituality and embraced a recovery program that would change her life. Anna was ready for a new chapter, and the program provided the tools she needed. Today, Anna is sober and grateful for the chance to reclaim her dreams.

Her story is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of recovery and the role spirituality can play. Tune into this episode of Steppin' Out Radio to hear more about Anna's journey and how she found peace in sobriety.
