I really do understand that people need to come to it when they're ready and people generally do come to it when they're ready. I think there's something really interesting about that, that people seek it or perhaps don't even knowingly seek it, but that somehow the practice finds them when it's needed.
Ever thought about how yoga could be more than just a physical exercise? In this episode, Dr. Jude sits down with Ellie Grace, a trauma-informed yoga educator with an MA in Yoga Studies. Ellie’s unique approach combines the wisdom of ancient yoga practices with modern neurophysiology to tackle some of today's most pressing health issues, including burnout and trauma. With doctors facing unprecedented levels of workplace burnout, Ellie’s work is more relevant than ever.
She lectures medical students on how yoga can support their personal development and help prevent burnout, offering a refreshing perspective on healthcare. But her reach doesn't stop there. Ellie also works with war veterans, schools, and corporate groups, aiming to create sustainable, human-centered cultures inspired by yoga ethics. This conversation dives into what the neurophysiology of yoga actually means, the role of breathwork in calming the nervous system, and how trauma-informed yoga can aid in managing traumatic experiences.
If you're curious about how yoga can impact your brain and overall well-being, or if you know someone in the medical field who could benefit from this knowledge, this episode is a must-listen. Join Dr. Jude and Ellie as they explore the transformative power of yoga, making it accessible and practical for everyone.
