Regla_girl: From Ritualistic Abuse to Resilience and Healing

Society is not ready to hear what we know. You know, a lot of people are not used to getting bullied or called names either. And you know, then this will close down and that will close down.
What does it take to transform unimaginable pain into a journey of healing and resilience? Meet Regla_girl from San Diego, California, a long-time member of the NAASCA family and a survivor of ritualistic sexual abuse. In this episode of 'Stop Child Abuse Now', she opens up about her harrowing experiences and the toll it took on her life and relationships.
Raised in an Irish Catholic community, Regla_girl and her siblings were subjected to abuse by women in their own family, including her mother and Aunt Lori. The trauma led her to alcohol and drug use as she tried to numb the pain, becoming a comedic bully to mask her true feelings. By the time she was 18, her alcohol dependency had become a significant problem.
Despite having a successful career, she struggled with severe eating disorders, fluctuating between nearly 400 lbs and 125 lbs. It wasn't until relationship issues forced her to confront her past that she began her path to recovery. Through community support and alternative healing methods, Regla_girl found a way to reclaim her life. This episode underscores the importance of speaking out about child abuse and fostering a supportive society for survivors.
