Richard Jewell: From Prison Walls to Pillars of Recovery

I can't let that stuff slip because I knew this guy and he gave his testimony. They think once they get clean they got it licked. Yeah, following that routine has made me stay, and that mentality is something that is going to be different for everybody.
Picture a man who had it all, only to lose everything to addiction and legal troubles. Richard Jewell's story is a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, and it's all laid bare in this gripping episode of RECOVCAST. Growing up, Richard enjoyed a great life, but micro-traumas slowly chipped away at his stability, leading him down a dark path of substance abuse.
His choices landed him in prison for 11 long years, a period that became both his punishment and his classroom. Behind bars, Richard educated himself and made a vow to turn his life around. After 16 years of sobriety, he faced another relapse, finding himself once again at rock bottom in a cell. This was his final wake-up call.
Today, Richard holds a Master's degree in drug rehabilitation and dedicates his life to helping others at Holdfast Recovery in Prescott, Arizona. His journey is a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of community in the recovery process. Tune in to hear Richard's candid reflections on his past, his wake-up call, and his mission to support others battling addiction.
