Recovery Trekking: Healing Through Nature and Community
We are people who live recovery in our personal lives, every day of our lives. If you choose to journey with us, we will try to instill in you or your loved one the tools which have allowed us to become free.
Picture yourself walking along an ancient pilgrimage route, surrounded by the beauty of nature, as a way to heal from addiction. That's the essence of Recovery Trekking, a unique recovery platform that offers a refreshing alternative to traditional rehab facilities and halfway houses. Founded by Sparrow and Peter, who live and breathe recovery every day, this program combines the benefits of walking in nature with personalized guidance and support to help participants find lasting recovery.
Recovery Trekking offers two distinct programs: 'Rehab Reimagined' and 'Adventures in Recovery'. Each trek involves moderate physical exercise, guided meditation, journaling, step meetings, and stepwork. Participants move as a group, providing encouragement and support to one another throughout the journey. The founders believe that walking in nature can improve cognitive function, enhance sleep quality, and reduce stress and anxiety—key elements in the recovery process.
One of the standout features of Recovery Trekking is its upcoming trek along The Camino De Santiago. This historic route offers a transformative experience for those looking to embark on a journey towards recovery. The trek begins in March, with a registration deadline of February 15th. It's an opportunity to not only walk towards physical wellness but also to build a supportive community and gain mental clarity. Recovery Trekking isn't just about walking; it's about walking together.
With each step, participants move closer to a healthier, more balanced life. Whether you're new to recovery or seeking a different approach, this program provides a holistic way to heal the mind, body, and soul.
