Well, sobriety and recovery allowed me to really tap into who I truly am and what I really want to do with this life that AA has given me, and that is being an artist. I had dreaded having to move to New York for years, probably three years at that point. I just did not want to go because, you know, I like being comfortable, but I had hit the glass ceiling in Houston for probably a year and a half, two years, I'd done everything I could do.
