Luke kicks off the day with excitement, eager to check the newspaper for a special feature about a centenarian he admires. To his delight, she made the front page, and he grabs two copies to share with the residents at work. However, the joy quickly fades as he faces another challenging day at his job.
Luke describes an unprofessional encounter that leaves him frustrated and questioning his place at work. He even considers quitting on the spot. But he powers through, ending the shift relieved to have a couple of days off. Throughout the day, 'Needles and Pins' is his soundtrack, reflecting his mixed emotions.
