Jamie Lowth: A Decade of Sobriety and a Mission to Help Others

I think that, because sometimes people will always say: hey, I've done the steps before, I had a sponsor Years Ago, or whatever they say, you know, and it's like, yeah, bro, but the point of the steps is to have a spiritual experience as a result of that process and a lot of times if you drink or did drugs again, you got to kind of re-begin the process.
Heather Mosher sits down with Jamie Lowth, who recently celebrated a remarkable milestone: 10 years of sobriety. Jamie opens up about her struggles with addiction, the turning points in her recovery, and her current role as a Lasis Certified Provider at Matthew's Hope Detox. Her story is one of incredible resilience and hope, showing that recovery is possible with the right support and determination.
Jamie emphasizes the significance of connecting with others on similar journeys, highlighting how fellowshipping played a crucial role in her staying sober. She also delves into the emotional challenges of managing her father's illness while battling her own addiction, offering a raw look at the impact of addiction on families. Throughout the episode, Jamie talks about the benefits of medication-assisted treatment and the importance of a holistic approach to recovery, which includes physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Her journey is a beacon of hope for anyone facing similar struggles, showing that it's possible to find purpose and make a positive impact in the world after addiction.
