I didn't get sober, I did get sober, but I wasn't planning on getting sober. I wasn't in a mentally fit or able place to get sober. I got lucky because on that day, December the 17th, 2017, my mother, my wife was away in Germany at Christmas markets. I was doing what I did back then, drinking myself to a stupor every day.
