From Trauma to Triumph: Lynda Close's Journey with Breathwork

The journey is all about us coming home to our own heart, and you have always been such an interesting woman and such a student of the universe.
Cynthia Morton sits down with Lynda Close, a remarkable woman who has turned her life around through Holotropic Breathwork. Lynda’s story is one of transformation, starting in 2007 when she first achieved sobriety after years of battling addiction, self-harm, and the lingering shadows of childhood trauma. She opens up about her struggles with alcoholism, drug abuse, and even over-exercising, which she used to mask her pain.
After a long stint in the corporate world that left her unfulfilled, Lynda found a lifeline in Holotropic Breathwork in 2011. This practice helped her connect with her 'Inner Healer', providing a new sense of purpose and direction. By 2013, she was a Certified Facilitator, committed to guiding others on their own healing journeys.
Now a full-time mum and workshop leader in Brisbane, Lynda shares how rituals and breathwork have become cornerstones of her daily life, helping her integrate past experiences and foster a more authentic self. The episode also touches on the role of male companionship in her healing process, the importance of facing emotions head-on, and how tattoos serve as a powerful form of storytelling for her.
If you're curious about how breathwork can unlock new paths to healing or looking for inspiration from someone who’s walked the hard road to recovery, this conversation offers valuable insights and heartfelt advice.
