So since the episode that Mark aired two weeks ago, I've kind of made the changes back to my normal routine and I'm back doing a bit more work than I was before and I feel like Christmas is over. Things are what they are now and I feel a bit better about that. I feel productive. I feel a little bit better. My body feels a little bit better than it did before. So, I've, I suppose, look, I've gone a long way around saying that I've implemented a lot of the tips that Dr Mark Rowe was giving during the last episode of the podcast. So, it's worked for me. If not, and even if you haven't listened, go back, listen to it because it's worked for me.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to swap a calculator for a feather boa? In this episode of The Fettle Podcast, Tony Kelly chats with Bonnie Boux, also known as Sinéad Gould, who did just that. Bonnie shares her fascinating story of transitioning from a budding career in accounting to becoming a celebrated burlesque performer. Just as she was about to qualify as an accountant, a significant mental health event nudged her back to her first love: dancing.
This pivotal moment gave birth to her philosophy, 'Dance Yourself Free', and the persona of Bonnie Boux. But the journey doesn't stop there. Bonnie also opens up about a recent health diagnosis that could force yet another career shift. Throughout their conversation, she reflects on the power of creativity, the support of community, and the importance of mental well-being. Bonnie’s story is a testament to resilience and the transformative power of following one's passion.
Whether you're a fan of burlesque or simply curious about life's unexpected turns, this episode offers an inspiring look at how embracing your true self can lead to extraordinary paths.
