But what I came to learn and understand through the program was: those exact same outcomes are waiting for us as parents, as loved ones of addicts, because stress is a killer, heart disease is a killer. People will die from the insanity if we don't step back and find a space of recovery and work a program for those who are affected by the addicted child or the addicted brother, or the addicted sister or the addicted wife parent, whoever it is can also come institutions and death and jails from the same thing.
