Lores' Journey: Finding Clarity and Sobriety in the LGBTQ+ Community

What I, what I want to do now with just, I guess, the rest of my life, because before, before, I just didn't have that same clarity. So you don't really like put a lot of thought into that. So what I, what I would like to do, is just maybe think about just what other potential I can unlock. So I started like learning to play an instrument, started cycling. But I think the biggest thing is just seeing what, what more I can do, what more potential I have within my sobriety, aside from just the hobbies and stuff, what else I can do with the rest of my life?
What happens when the normalization of drinking and drugs in your hometown collides with a global pandemic? In this episode of 'gAy A: A Queer Sober Podcast', host Steve Martin-Bennet sits down with Lores, who opens up about her path to sobriety within the LGBTQ+ community. Through candid self-reflection, she discovered new passions like playing an instrument and cycling, which have been instrumental in her recovery. Lores' story is a testament to the power of mental clarity and finding joy in new hobbies. She also offers heartfelt advice on getting and staying sober, encouraging the LGBTQ+ community to view sobriety as a fulfilling lifestyle choice.
