From Rock Bottom to Recovery: Jeannine Coulter Lindgren's Journey

Heroin brought me to my fucking knees and left me with no choice. I was in the middle of a dream that I couldn't get. And heroin took all of that away from me and brought me to the program of-step recovery and the design for living.
Imagine losing everything you hold dear, only to find that it becomes the best thing that ever happened to you. That’s exactly what Jeannine Coulter Lindgren experienced. In this episode of 'Recovery Survey', Jeannine opens up about her 15-year struggle with drug addiction and alcoholism, which led to multiple arrests and homelessness. Despite her academic prowess in high school, the pressures of college life pushed her towards substance abuse.
Her descent into addiction cost her everything, but hitting rock bottom was the turning point she needed. Sober since January 15, 2015, Jeannine has transformed her life in remarkable ways. Now a successful fitness studio owner and a popular recovery podcast host, she dedicates her time to sharing her story to inspire others. Jeannine’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience and community support in overcoming addiction.
She introduces us to the concept of post-traumatic growth, showing how one can emerge stronger and more purposeful after experiencing trauma. Her story is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest times, there is hope and a path to recovery. If you or someone you care about is battling addiction, Jeannine’s story offers a beacon of hope and a reminder that you are not alone.
