The amount of time that I would spend thinking that spinning, that going down the rabbit hole, the monkey brain, the alcoholism, whatever you want to call it, that obsessiveness, as that releases and lightens up, and it never goes away, but it is nowhere near what it was when I was using or in my early days of recovery. And that just makes it so much easier to create, to be a father, to be a good partner, a business partner, all of those things. It just doesn't have to push this huge rock up the hill. That's for sure.
