Harbir's Triumph: Battling Anxiety and Finding Strength

I think that's another thing that people think that you do this, and a year from now, or two years from now, you're going to be the model of sanity. I'm not a zen master, you know, and I'm not a Buddhist monk, you know, I have a child, I have obstacles, I have challenges, I'm a real woman with real problems every day, and I just have to be the best I can be every day.
What do you do when anxiety and panic attacks take over your life? For Harbir, a personal injury solicitor and single mother, the Covid lockdowns in the UK were the tipping point. In this episode of 'Courage Dear Heart', host Charli Wall sits down with Harbir to discuss her journey through mental health struggles and how she found a way to cope. Harbir began studying with Charli in March 2020, right when the world was shutting down.
Her anxiety and panic attacks were unbearable, but she discovered tools to manage them through community support and mentorship. Harbir’s story is one of resilience and ongoing growth. She’s not just a professional juggling work and single parenthood; she’s also a leader in her local Girl Guide's troupe, inspiring young girls aged 10-13 to be their best selves.
As she puts it, 'I'm not a zen master...I'm a real woman with real problems every day, and I just have to be the best I can be every day'. Tune in to hear Harbir’s honest account of her battles and victories, and learn how mindfulness, self-compassion, and community can make all the difference.
