Brennon's Story: From Chaos to Clarity

I was a varsity football player, but, uh, but it was weird and I really didn't know how to deal with it. And, uh, and, and I remember when I got in a lot of trouble as a teenager- uh, this probation officer told me that I needed to quit drinking.
Brennon grew up in a household that was a mix of wild parties and professional success. His parents were highly successful, but their hard-partying lifestyle left a mark on him. In this episode of 'Voices of Recovery', Brennon opens up about his tumultuous childhood and the trauma that came with it. Despite the chaos, he managed to find his way to recovery, becoming a keynote speaker for the Young People in AA convention.
His story is both heartbreaking and inspiring, as he shares how he turned his life around with the help of the AA community. Brennon discusses the impact of his upbringing on his self-esteem and how alcohol became his escape. He also talks about the pivotal role that young people's AA played in his journey, providing him with a sense of belonging and support that he had never experienced before.
Now, Brennon is not just surviving but thriving, even starting his own counseling practice. This episode is a powerful reminder that no matter how dark the past, there is always hope for a brighter future. Brennon's story is a testament to resilience and the joy that can be found in sobriety.
