Untangling Life's Messes: Roane Hunter and Ben Derrick on Sex, God, & Chaos

The goal, of course, is healthy Christian sexuality, and that's just something that is sorely needed in church today, because this sexually broken culture- we can't live in it and not be affected by it, and certainly Christians are- and just a lot of distorted thinking, and so really that's kind of our journey of why we do what we do today, and then the writing the book is just our process, the roadmap that we came up with, because when couples are at this level of crisis, I don't believe there's any greater crisis in a marriage than when betrayal occurs.
Ever wondered if you can truly have a healthy relationship with sex, God, and the inevitable chaos life throws your way? In this eye-opening episode of 'Sex, God, & Chaos', hosts Roane Hunter and Ben Derrick tackle this big question head-on. They share their personal stories of addiction and trauma, shedding light on how these experiences shape our lives and relationships.
With candid honesty, they discuss the impact of trauma on sexual addiction and the challenges of fostering healthy Christian sexuality. Roane and Ben also explore the limitations of relying solely on religious systems to address sexual issues and emphasize the crucial role of knowledgeable counselors, especially for partners grappling with betrayal trauma. By the end of the episode, listeners are equipped with practical steps to move from unhealthy isolation to a life of healthy, connected freedom.
Tune in for a heartfelt conversation that promises to leave you with plenty to ponder.
