This recipe is simple – and anyone can make these delicious ginger biscuits. Yes, even you!
Pre-heat your oven to 190 celsius (or 170 celsius if it’s fan-assisted).
Sift the flour, bicarb of soda and ginger into a bowl, and add the sugar.
Mix the butter in with your hands, until you have a crumbly mixture.
Finally, pour the syrup in and mix. If you have no syrup, you can use honey instead.
Divide into 16 small balls and place on a lined baking tray. Flatten lightly.
Leave space, because they will expand when they are cooking.
Put the tray into the middle of the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until spread out, golden and cracked.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
For added spice, add some chopped dried ginger pieces!
Now – make a cup of tea, and enjoy your biscuits! You’ve killed some time, made a sugary snack, and the ginger will ease your stomach. Keep going!
