Writing on the Walls: Rob Hlavaty's Journey through Suicide Loss and Prevention

The goal of this show is to provide a platform for survivors to share their stories and honor their loved ones. In addition, I'd like to give a space for survivors of attempted suicide to share their stories, kind of what led up to the event and how life has been for them since.
What drives someone to start a podcast about suicide loss and prevention? For Rob Hlavaty, it's deeply personal. In this introductory episode of 'Writing on the Walls', Rob opens up about the heartbreaking experience of losing his father to suicide in 2017. He shares his mission to create a space where survivors can tell their stories and experts can shed light on the complexities of mental health and substance abuse.
This episode sets the stage for a series that promises raw, unfiltered conversations about some of the most challenging aspects of human experience. Whether you're a survivor of suicide loss, someone who has battled suicidal thoughts, or just looking to understand more about this pressing issue, Rob's compassionate approach offers a beacon of hope and understanding.
With a blend of personal anecdotes and expert insights, 'Writing on the Walls' aims to break down the stigma surrounding suicide and provide actionable strategies for prevention and support. Tune in to hear Rob's story and learn what you can expect from future episodes.
