Kathryn's Waters: A Life-Changing Encounter

It felt like I was coming home. I felt completely safe... It's like you feel connected with everything around you and just keep thinking: this is what our planet has to offer and we take advantage of it every day.
Kathryn's story on 'Hart to Harts' takes you on a journey through water, memories, and unexpected connections. Growing up with a love for the beach, thanks to her mother's influence, Kathryn always felt at ease in the water. However, it was during a marine biology class that she experienced something extraordinary. While kayaking in a bay, an orca swam up to her kayak.
This close encounter with the majestic creature left a lasting impression, shifting her perspective on life and the world around her. Fast forward a couple of years, and Kathryn found herself in the military. Four months ago, during an active duty assignment, she participated in a swim call. Jumping off the ship into the crystal-clear waters, she felt an overwhelming sense of belonging and peace. The beauty of the natural world around her reinforced the importance of appreciating our environment.
Kathryn's tale is a heartfelt reminder of how nature can ground us and offer a sense of home. Tune in to hear her full story and be inspired by the powerful connections we can find in the world around us.
