Felicia's Path: From Partying to Purposeful Sobriety
The one thing that I hold onto is the biggest disservice that you could do yourself in sobriety...don't be afraid to ask for help, whatever that means, if you stay quiet and you stay stuck in your head.
Imagine growing up in a family where alcohol is as common as Sunday dinner. That's Felicia's story. Raised in a Sicilian and Irish household, she was surrounded by drinking during every holiday. By high school, she was deep into the party scene, making reckless choices and putting herself in dangerous situations. But her life took a sharp turn when she became pregnant and suffered from severe postpartum depression. Her doctor prescribed medication and advised her to quit drinking.
It was a game-changer. Within 60 days, Felicia's friends and family noticed a remarkable shift in her demeanor—she was calmer and more collected. Through a romantic partner, she found the AA community, which she credits with saving her life. Now, Felicia is a beacon of hope for others starting their sober journey. She speaks at events, runs her own support meetings, and manages the Instagram account @SobernScottsdale, part of the Sober City Movement.
Tune in to hear Felicia's inspiring story of overcoming alcoholism and finding purpose through sobriety.
