Angi's True Sobriety: From Hidden Pain to Honest Healing
I was missing myself this whole time, that I was missing something.
Imagine living a life where everything looks perfect on the outside, but inside, you're falling apart. That's the story Angi shares in this episode of the 'Keep Coming Back Podcast'. Growing up in a large Hispanic family, Angi thought her childhood was happy and normal until she realized she had to hide her true feelings. Feelings of guilt, shame, and a need to appear flawless drove her to become an overachiever and a people pleaser.
But behind the facade, Angi was secretly drinking vodka from water bottles during work meetings and taking 'Dirty Chips' at AA meetings. Her journey took her through the dark alleys of addiction and even led her to prison. But now, just 102 days into her sobriety, Angi is living in a Sober Living Environment (SLE) and working the Program of Alcoholics Anonymous. She’s discovering who she really is without the masks and manipulation.
Tune in to hear Angi's powerful story of facing her demons and finding true sobriety.
