I can't believe how many families are suffering from this disease. I now know that addiction is a family disease. I thought no one in my family was an addict. I don't know how to be a parent anymore. These past few years have been absolutely the toughest time of my entire life. My wife and I don't agree, and this is another big problem. I don't want this to be a secret anymore. Being with other parents is being with people who really get it and that helps me a lot. I can help other people and I feel better every time I just talk about all this stuff with my group. Even when my son isn't doing so well we seem to be okay. Talking with other parents helps me stay sane and not to feel so lost and alone.
