Patricia Lovell: Proving It's Never Too Late to Chase Your Dreams

I always had on the mind I wanted to write a book, but I had no idea what the book was going to be about, and I kept sort of changing some hours as I got older. I was changing hours at work or days and thought eventually I'm going to give myself two days a week to write.
Ever thought it might be too late to chase your dreams? Think again. In this episode of Toni TV, host Toni Lontis sits down with Patricia Lovell, an author and poet who proves that age is just a number when it comes to following your passions. Patricia, who lives in the serene Lake Macquarie area of New South Wales, shares her remarkable journey from a successful career as a remedial therapist to becoming a published author in her 70s.
Patricia's story began with a lifelong dream of writing, which she finally pursued after retiring from her therapy practice in 2022. She recounts how a writing retreat in Ireland, held to celebrate her 70th birthday, became the catalyst for her literary career. During the interview, Patricia talks about the challenges she faced, including the fear of not being good enough and the common misconception that it's too late to start something new.
Her first self-published book, 'Little Bit', came out in 2020, followed by 'Willow’s Dream' in early 2021. Patricia's books have touched both children and adults alike, resonating with themes of hope and resilience. She also shares how personal experiences, like the passing of her aunt, fueled her passion for writing. Patricia doesn't just stop at writing; she continues to mentor new and experienced therapists, proving that her desire to help others extends beyond her books.
Throughout the episode, she offers valuable advice for anyone feeling held back by doubts or insecurities. Her message is clear: it's never too late to pursue your dreams. If you're looking for a dose of inspiration and a reminder that it's never too late to follow your passions, this episode is a must-listen. Patricia Lovell's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of never giving up on your dreams.
