By 36, he was facing a life sentence for armed robbery, with little hope for change as drugs and alcohol were rampant behind bars.
But a flicker of hope came from memories of early AA meetings he had attended during his stints in county jails. Despite previous failures with the program, Tom began attending AA meetings in prison, brought by dedicated members of the outside AA community. He found a sponsor within those walls and started his path to recovery.
