Guiding Youth: The Impact of Berks County's Underage Drinking Program

This is a beautiful curriculum that could be instituted, but time and money, yeah, no, but it's wonderful that we have instructors like you that can help with the program, and I know from my interaction with it that the participants benefit from it very much.
Imagine sitting in a classroom at 8 a.m. on a Saturday morning, not out of choice but necessity. This is the reality for many young people and their parents attending the Underage Drinking Program of Berks County. In this episode of 'Your Bridge to Addiction Resources', host Jennifer Wakeman sits down with Joe Boyle, an experienced instructor who has been leading this program for nine years.
Joe, who also has 18 years of teaching under his belt, shares his heartfelt stories and the transformative power of the program. The curriculum, divided into five modules, covers essential topics such as confidentiality, the risks associated with underage drinking, the far-reaching consequences of addiction, and personal stories that resonate deeply with participants. Joe opens up about the challenges and triumphs of implementing this program, emphasizing the importance of investing in youth education and resources.
The feedback from participants speaks volumes about its success. This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in understanding how education can be a powerful tool in combating youth addiction.
