Brad Jensen: Building Sobriety Through Fitness and Community

I was crying pretty hard because I had to keep wiping my eyes because I couldn't tell myself that this was going to be different.
Ever wondered how fitness can play a pivotal role in recovery? Brad Jensen, better known as the Sober Bodybuilder, opens up about his tumultuous journey from addiction to sobriety. Starting with his first drink at just 13, Brad quickly turned to alcohol to mask his insecurities. His passion for fitness developed over time, but it clashed with his growing addiction to pain pills and eventually heroin. Brad's story is a rollercoaster of jail time, treatment centers, and 12 Step programs.
He candidly shares the moment he realized he needed to change—crying uncontrollably on his way to what would be his last treatment center. Now, with over eight years of sobriety, Brad is the CEO of Key Nutrition and has a massive online following. He credits much of his success to the structure and discipline that fitness brought into his life. Brad emphasizes the importance of community support and how it has been instrumental in his recovery journey.
He now helps others through his coaching and online course, The Sober Bodybuilder. This episode is a testament to the power of resilience and the transformative impact of fitness and community in the path to sobriety.
