Finding George: A Journey to Uncover Family Roots

I feel like, as the parent, it is your job and it's your obligation to provide that information to your child and let them grow up and let them make the decisions on how they want to pursue different things on their own, but just start with all the parents and just give those, give the children the opportunity to know where they came from.
George's story begins in Michigan, where he grew up with his mom, little brother, and a man he believed was his dad. But even as a child, George sensed something was off. At seven, he asked his mom a life-changing question: 'Is dad my real dad?' Her answer led him down a path of curiosity and uncertainty about his true identity. Despite the years passing by, George never let go of the need to find his biological father.
At 25, he took a brave step and wrote a letter to the man he thought might be his dad. For years, there was silence. Then, on a day marked by the sudden death of a close uncle, George received an unexpected phone call: 'Hello, son. This is your dad.' This episode of AbbaDaddy House Girls Speak Out captures George's emotional journey of searching for his roots and the profound impact of finally connecting with his biological father.
George shares the highs and lows of his quest, from the frustration and confusion to the joy and sense of belonging that came with discovering his true identity. He also discusses the importance of parents being open with their children about their origins, emphasizing that knowing where you come from can shape who you become. If you're grappling with questions about your own identity or family history, George's story offers hope and encouragement.
Tune in to hear how understanding your roots can change your life.
