Picture this: a young man with dreams of rockstar fame, raised by a hardworking single mother, navigating the ups and downs of life. ScottyM had a stable childhood, but his father's struggle with alcoholism cast a shadow over the family. High school was a time of abstinence for ScottyM, but college brought experimentation and a growing sense of self-righteousness. After graduation, he chased his musical aspirations, but his drinking spiraled out of control.
Moving to Austin became a turning point when a doctor suggested he try Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). The path to sobriety was anything but smooth, but ScottyM found that listening to others in the program and following their advice made all the difference.
