Growing up in the bustling streets of New York, JennS faced more than just the typical challenges of city life. In this episode of The Pink House Chronicles, JennS, a first-generation Latina, shares her raw and heartfelt journey through the dark corridors of alcoholism and addiction. With parents who battled their own demons with alcohol, JennS turned to drinking as a way to cope with her environment and personal struggles.
Despite managing to carve out a successful career as a hairstylist, her personal life was in turmoil, with relationships suffering and bridges burned. Finding herself in a relationship with another person struggling with addiction, she tried to quit drinking on her own, but it proved to be an uphill battle.

She found an unexpected sense of peace and safety in a room full of men, something she had never experienced before. Today, JennS continues to work on herself and grow in her sobriety, finding strength in the community and the human spirit.
