I truly believe that my higher power's plan for me is to be of service and to use my story as an example to others that, no matter what the consequences of you drinking and drugging, you can have a better life by getting sober and by working this program.
JeffK's life story is a gripping tale of highs and lows, resilience, and ultimate redemption. From sneaking beers as a youngster to spiraling into cocaine use as an adult, JeffK’s struggle with addiction was a long and harrowing journey. Despite building a successful career as a lawyer and lobbyist, his addiction led him to a devastating stroke that nearly took his life. This rock-bottom moment became the catalyst for his recovery.
With the unwavering support of Alcoholics Anonymous and his belief in a higher power, JeffK began the arduous process of getting sober and rebuilding his life. His transformation didn't stop at personal recovery; he turned his life around to help others battling similar demons. Now, with over five years of sobriety under his belt, JeffK dedicates his time to service work, attending AA meetings daily, and volunteering to support others on their recovery paths.
