Tammy Kennington: From Darkness to Light - A Journey of Healing

Being here tonight with you really encourages me to keep moving forward and do what I have to do in this world of advocating for our cause.
Ever wondered how someone emerges from the shadows of severe trauma to become a beacon of hope for others? Meet Tammy Kennington from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Surviving a decade of childhood sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and domestic violence at the hands of her alcoholic stepfather, Tammy faced a long battle with PTSD and depression. Despite these challenges, she has transformed her pain into a mission to help others on their healing journeys.
In this episode of 'Stop Child Abuse Now', Tammy shares her powerful story, offering insights and encouragement to those who have faced similar traumas. As an experienced Intervention Specialist, Tammy has spoken to numerous women's groups and at educational conferences, providing a unique perspective on identifying signs of abuse and the importance of prevention. Her publications in Thriving Family, The Upper Room, and Light from the Word further underscore her dedication to advocacy.
Currently working on a book about PTSD from a Christian survivor's standpoint, Tammy continues to inspire through her blog. Her story is not just about survival but about the incredible transformation that can occur when one finds hope and support. Tune in to hear Tammy's journey and learn how we can all contribute to a more compassionate society.
