There's so many misconceptions about AA history that it's- This is one of the reasons why I think I got into history because as I was studying more, I went to these symposiums that I mentioned and I would meet these great AA historians who knew so much. I'm a part of all that because I know how it has affected AA because nothing comes from nothing, you know, and whether it's the Washingtonians or Handsome Lake, you know, a Native American in 1795 that started something similar to AA or, you know, the Oxford Group or the Emanuel Movement or the Jacoby Club or all of these predecessors, you know, of AA, you know, and I'm a part of that now.
