I thought that changing the state that I was living in or my surroundings that my problems would go away, but my problems was myself and you can't run away from the very thing that's like latched onto your back.
Savina's life was steeped in the shadows of addiction from a young age. Growing up, alcohol seemed like the glue that connected her to the adults around her. But as she grew older, that glue started to suffocate her. Savina's drinking spiraled, leading her down a path of self-destruction. The turning point came during an outpatient program, where a moment of clarity hit her like a lightning bolt.
She realized she couldn't keep running from the very thing that was dragging her down. Sobriety wasn't a walk in the park, though. Savina had to relearn how to navigate relationships, stand up for her own recovery, and face the deep-seated issues that fueled her addiction.
