I think as hard as it is at times, I focus on the few things that I know I can control, which is honesty. The principle behind step one, that's what I focus on because it seems like, and a lot of people may not like my truth, what I have to say, my answer or decision or what have you. But I know from my experience back to that 16-year-old traumatic event, I have to be honest and let God take care of the outcome because if I lie to you, I've already lied to myself to justify why I think it's okay. And from there on, it's a slippery slope, and I'll be down it in a heartbeat.
