Preston Moore: Breaking Free from Addiction and Embracing Therapy

I always say: get ready, buckle up, we just getting started, we just getting started when people are like: oh, I'm sober, I'm like, yes, you are, you're about to see all the fun stuff come out.
Ever thought you were just unlucky rather than having a problem? Preston Moore knows that feeling all too well. Despite holding down a job and paying his bills, he faced four arrests in three years before realizing he needed help. Sober since September 10, 2001, just after his 21st birthday, Preston now dedicates his life to advocating for mental health and addiction support.
He believes therapy and counseling should be as routine as hitting the gym or attending a fitness class. In this episode, Preston shares his journey to sobriety and how breaking the stigma around mental health can make a world of difference. He also opens up about the 'high cost of anonymity' and how being secretive about our struggles can harm our mental well-being.
Tune in to hear Preston's personal stories, his reflections on staying sober, and his vision for a world where seeking help is the norm. This episode is a beacon of hope for anyone grappling with addiction or mental health issues.
