Finding Joy in Trials: Aston Gaillard on Philippians 1:3-4

He himself now is being persecuted and he's put into prison for his faith. I remember when I started doing preaching workshops when I was in college and I had to be crit, and I can't remember the passage I preached on now, but it was a passage on Paul and one of Paul's letters. And you're always skeptical towards the end of your sermon, because you know it's crit time and they have to crit you and there's very things that they crit you on. So it's not that I was preaching Paul, it's just that I didn't let them in on what I knew made Paul the way he was.
How can you find joy even when life feels like a series of never-ending challenges? Aston Gaillard tackles this profound question in his podcast episode on Philippians 1:3-4. Drawing from the life of Paul the Apostle, Aston unpacks how Paul managed to maintain his happiness and faith, even while imprisoned. Imagine being in a dark, damp cell yet still finding reasons to rejoice. That's the kind of resilient joy Aston explores in this episode.
