Alcoholics Anonymous is not a journey of the mind, but one of awakening of the spirit. It's really interesting in step two, I show up to step two with a lot of stuff, a lot of anger, a lot of fear, a lot of trauma, a lot of jealousy, a lot of stuff. And by the time I get to 10 and 11, when our book says we enter the world of the spirit, I have just as much God in 10 and 11 as I did going into step two with all the stuff. It's never addition.
