Gabe Cohen's story is nothing short of remarkable. Arrested at 15 for a shooting in New York and addicted to cocaine at the same age, Gabe's early years were marred by crime and substance abuse. By 19, he found himself broke, homeless, and addicted to crack. His life spiraled into a cycle of incarceration, landing him in prison seven times before his final release in 2011. Yet, Gabe's journey didn't end there—it was just beginning.
Determined to turn his life around, Gabe pursued a childhood dream of earning a martial arts black belt. He started taking Krav Maga, which became a cornerstone of his recovery. In 2015, he launched American Krav Maga and later earned accolades like the Argentina Martial Arts Hall of Fame induction. But Gabe's transformation wasn't solely physical; it was deeply spiritual.
Struggling with his relationship with God, he became a Christian while in jail, leading him to attend church, therapy, and support groups. His faith became a guiding light in his path to recovery. Today, Gabe is a successful business owner and a passionate advocate for those battling addiction. He volunteers in county jails, conducts Bible studies, and serves as a Peer Specialist and Recovery Coach.
