I spent 20 years in the trenches of addiction. But it saved my life and put me into recovery. And so now in this new mission, I am trying to spread awareness about what the illicit drug supply is doing to our country and trying to bring as many people as I can out of the darkness of addiction into the beauty of beautiful light of recovery.
David Riggins' story is one of profound transformation. Once a soldier, David's life took a drastic turn after a training accident led to his discharge and subsequent overmedication. What followed was a two-decade struggle with addiction that culminated in a tragic incident on December 20, 2022, when he lost his leg due to severe burns while under the influence of illicit fentanyl. This catastrophic event, however, became the catalyst for David's remarkable recovery journey.
Now firmly on the path of sobriety, David is channeling his experiences into creating an addiction recovery center in Caswell County, North Carolina. Through his online presence, he's not just raising awareness but also rallying support to make this essential resource a reality. David's story is a testament to human resilience and the power of turning personal trials into a mission to help others.
