Despite this, he initially didn't see a future for himself in racing.

His career took a significant turn when he decided to move to Sandusky, Ohio, joining ThorSport Racing and later working with top teams like Penske Motorsports. One memorable highlight includes being cheered on by driver David Ragan at Front Row Motorsports. But it wasn't all smooth sailing. Devon faced physical challenges too, such as tearing his bicep muscle during a workout and dealing with the intense pressure of a green flag stop that caused a caution.
