Joe Singer's Climb: From Chaos to Clarity

I'd already had a taste of the real world. So when I turned 18, I joined the fire department because we'd had a wreck as a family- my mom, my dad and my little brother and I. We had a head-on collision when I was about to turn 16 and it about killed us all. So I knew then I was wanting to not ever let that happen again to anybody.
What shapes a person's path to recovery? In this episode of 'Cuttin Grass', Joe Singer peels back the layers of his past to share the pivotal moments that led him to sobriety. Growing up during the hippie era and facing the challenges of an underprivileged upbringing, Joe had his fair share of struggles. He learned early on the importance of hard work and personal growth, but his journey was far from straightforward.
At 18, Joe joined the local volunteer fire department, a decision that became a turning point. The responsibility of being on call meant he couldn't drink or use drugs, nudging him towards a life of sobriety. Joe's story is not just about overcoming addiction; it's about finding purpose and resilience in the face of adversity. His candid recounting of his experiences offers hope and encouragement to anyone battling similar demons.
Tune in to hear Joe's raw and honest tale of transformation.
