Robert Borelli: From Mafia Life to Finding a New Identity in Christ

How good God is that he could take somebody like me, transform their life, change them, give them a new identity, and have a fresh start in life again.
Imagine growing up in a tough Brooklyn neighborhood, surrounded by the allure of the mob. That's exactly where Robert Borelli found himself. As a young boy, he got caught up in the world of wise guys, running errands for them and eventually falling into the grip of drug addiction. His life spiraled out of control, leading to multiple stints in prison, including time at the infamous Rikers Island. But Robert's story takes an extraordinary turn.
While serving time, he encountered what he describes as 'two angels' who handed him a Bible. This moment marked the beginning of a profound transformation. Robert began to study the Bible diligently and experienced a spiritual rebirth. He was baptized at Indian River Jail in Florida, symbolizing his new identity in Christ.
In this episode of 'The Call with Nancy Sabato', Robert opens up about his incredible journey from being part of the Gambino crime family to finding redemption through faith. He discusses the challenges of leaving his old life behind and embracing a new path filled with hope and purpose. This episode is a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith and the possibility of change, no matter how deep one's past mistakes run.
