Mike's story is one of incredible highs and devastating lows. As a teenager, he turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with childhood trauma. This coping mechanism spiraled out of control, culminating in a life-threatening health crisis in January 2020.
Mike was found barely alive, suffering from acute liver failure, hepatic encephalopathy, and kidney failure. After waking up from a three-week coma, he faced the grim reality that he didn't qualify for a liver transplant and needed to be sober for six months just to get on the list. Instead of giving up, Mike chose to fight for his life. His journey towards sobriety was fraught with challenges, but his determination and resilience shine through in this heartfelt conversation.
